After working several years in the Duck guiding business, the founders of Cache River Outfitters came together to share their knowledge and experience of their past employment. One thing stuck out.

Hunters were paying too much money for what they were getting. Common complaints were mixing of groups, too much hunting pressure on land. Hunters felt like a # or $. What appeared to be as a 1st class operation, in turn was another impressive Web site turned scam. Some hunters felt like line of cattle being run through an auction, so the founders sat down and asked themselves how to provide a quality hunt at affordable prices?

We don't have an expensive lodge or a lot of overhead. We hunt several areas and work with local motels at a discounted rate. This allows your party to share a room and at the same time save money. It allows the guides to do the traveling in the early morning hours, instead of the hunters, thus allowing more time to rest up for the duck hunting that will take place at sunrise. We always keep the groups small, and we don't mix groups no matter how small. Feel free to bring your dog. (be sure to include neoprene life vest for cold days) If you have never seen the sunrisethrough the flooded timber while listening to the whistling of wings overhead, you are truly missing one of God's majestic creations.
